The main topics of this symposium were dedicated to the valorization of the soils by the most appropriate balance of the acidity and the structure of the fields. Mr Bogdan Costea, phD in Agronomy, is responsible of the sales in the agro-food in Romania and also lecturer at the University. He explained how liming products may help farmers to increase the yields of their crops through different levels of action : the chemical and physical properties of the soil but also by regulating the biological activity of the upper layer of the fields. The attendance and number of questions raised showed an high interest in the subject in this region of Western Romania dedicated to large cultures. Since the beginning of the year, Carmeuse started a roadshow in the country to meet people concerned by the best valorization of the soils : land owners, farmers, distributors, laboratories… Many similar events meet a large success and a real interest for the TerraCalco, the Carmeuse products range dedicated to the agriculture.
